I am interested in illuminated the small, seemingly meaningless things that happen inside the confines of everyones own mind. Instances that are rarely shared or spoken about but felt unanimously. From something as mundane as spilling a drink after a long day, to something as heady as receiving a phone call to be informed of the death of a loved one. It is the emotions that are felt, often alone at first, that i would like to capture and allow the viewer to relate to.
When I was young and I would sit down and watch a good movie, a heavy movie, with my father and it was over he would let the credits roll for a bit and then shut the TV off. I didn't get it, we were sitting there watching TV and he'd just turn it off. He would say, 'what are we doing to watch commercials about cars and cereal now? No.' I think good films should make you turn the TV off when its over.
